Honda Unveils Real-Life Koraidon Pokémon Concept at 2025

Honda Brings Pokémon’s Koraidon to Life at Suzuka 8 Hours

Honda is set to captivate fans and motorsport enthusiasts alike with the debut of its fully mobile Koraidon concept at the 2025 Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race, running from August 1 to 3.

Inspired by the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon from the popular Pokémon Scarlet game, the innovative concept blends Honda’s engineering excellence with pop culture nostalgia, creating a near-life-sized creature that moves, balances, and looks just like its digital counterpart.

Koraidon Mobility Concept to Feature Live Showrun

After making waves at the Honda Welcome Plaza earlier this year, the Honda Koraidon will be on display at the Honda Racing Gallery on August 1 and 2. But the real highlight comes on August 3, when the concept performs its first-ever “Sprinting Build” demonstration in front of a live audience as part of the pre-race ceremony.

This live showrun will showcase Koraidon's ability to move autonomously with fluidity and stability, offering fans a unique intersection between motorsports and immersive entertainment.

A High-Tech Tribute to a Legendary Pokémon

The Koraidon project was developed by a 40-person team of Honda engineers and represents a light-hearted yet technically sophisticated response to Toyota’s earlier Miraidon initiative.

Utilizing advanced self-balancing systems, high-precision servos, and a structurally accurate design, the Koraidon stands as a physical tribute to the creature beloved by millions in the Pokémon universe.

Collaboration with The Pokémon Company

Created in partnership with The Pokémon Company, the Honda Koraidon represents a shared vision of bringing imagination to life. The project is part of Honda’s broader mission to inspire future generations through creative engineering and storytelling.

By bringing a digital icon into the real world, Honda continues to push the boundaries of what's possible when technology meets fantasy, aiming to ignite curiosity and innovation in young minds.

Engineering Meets Imagination at Suzuka

The unveiling at the legendary Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race adds an extra layer of excitement, as motorsport fans will get an up-close look at how cutting-edge mobility can merge with pop culture.

Whether you're a racing enthusiast or a lifelong Pokémon fan, Honda’s Koraidon is a glimpse into a future where dreams ride on wheels—and imagination powers innovation.
