A record-breaking sale at Monterey
A unique 2025 Ferrari Daytona SP3 “Tailor Made” stunned collectors at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction, selling for an unprecedented $26 million USD. The sale marks the highest price ever achieved for a brand-new Ferrari at auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Ferrari Foundation and its global educational initiatives.
The exclusive “599+1” edition
Nicknamed the “599+1”, this Daytona SP3 was created as an additional build beyond the original production run of 599 units, all of which were long sold out. The bespoke model stands apart with its Giallo Modena yellow paint, glossy exposed carbon fiber, and a bold full-length Ferrari logotype graphic stretched across its body — a first for any Ferrari road car.
Innovative materials meet Italian craftsmanship
Inside, the car features upholstery crafted from Q-Cycle fabric, a sustainable material made from recycled tires. Adding to its exclusivity, the dashboard and steering wheel incorporate carbon fiber sourced directly from Scuderia Ferrari’s Formula 1 program. This fusion of sustainability and motorsport heritage makes the car as forward-thinking as it is rare.
Performance to match its rarity
Beyond its unique design, the Daytona SP3 retains Ferrari’s raw performance DNA. Powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, it delivers 829 horsepower, launching from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.85 seconds. The combination of cutting-edge engineering, sustainability, and exclusivity solidifies its standing as a modern Ferrari masterpiece.
