Graphpaper and PUMA Revive Racing Heritage with SPEEDCAT Plus Collaboration

A minimalist take on a motorsport classic

PUMA’s iconic SPEEDCAT Plus is getting a refined makeover thanks to Japanese label Graphpaper, which has teamed up with the brand for its FW25 collection. Known for its clean tailoring and functional aesthetics, Graphpaper applies its signature minimalist lens to the racing-inspired silhouette.

From racetrack to runway

First launched in 1999, the SPEEDCAT was rooted in Formula 1 racing shoes worn by drivers through the ’80s and ’90s. The Plus version retains those sleek, aerodynamic lines while adopting a fully monochrome tan finish that aligns with Graphpaper’s seasonal palette.

Premium materials, timeless style

The collab pairs short suede and nubuck leather across the upper, with every element — from the overlays to the sole and embroidered logos — kept in a soft neutral tan. The design creates a versatile sneaker that bridges motorsport heritage with contemporary minimalism.

A continuation of Graphpaper’s sneaker story

The SPEEDCAT Plus follows Graphpaper’s recent collaborations with Mizuno, Converse (reimagining the Jack Purcell in suede), and Reproduction of Found, where tan suede also played a key role. With this release, the brand continues to weave its understated design DNA through some of the most iconic footwear silhouettes.
