adidas is shining a spotlight on the Bronx’s deep-rooted sneaker culture with a new collaboration alongside local staple City Jeans. The result is the Gazelle Indoor “Diamond in the Rough,” a limited-edition sneaker that embodies the grit and creativity of New York City.
A Design With Layers of Meaning
The “Diamond in the Rough” Gazelle Indoor features a navy ripstop upper designed to be worn down, revealing a powder blue suede base underneath. A “start here” heel tab and a permanent pull loop add playful yet practical details, while the lenticular tongue branding shimmers like diamonds under the light.
Each of the 800 pairs produced is uniquely numbered and stitched on the inner lining, giving the drop a personal and collectible edge.
