Historic Cheese Store of Beverly Hills Offers a European Culinary Adventure with Move to New Location
The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, a beloved Los Angeles institution and one of the first cheese stores of its kind in the US, has recently completed its relocation to a magnificent new space. The new location, spanning over 5,000 square feet at 9705 S. Santa Monica Blvd., represents an exciting chapter for this iconic Beverly Hills specialty market, promising a culinary experience like no other for food enthusiasts in Los Angeles and beyond.
Designed by renowned architect Nicolò Bini, the new flagship store seamlessly blends the traditional European charm of the original location with an expanded and elevated culinary experience. While still boasting an exceptional selection of over 600 cheeses and gourmet products sourced from around the world, the new store also introduces a meticulously-crafted take-away menu featuring signature sandwiches, salads, sides and other freshly-prepared foods.
Dominick DiBartolomeo, owner of The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills, expressed his enthusiasm for the relocation: "For more than twenty years, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills has been like a second home to me, and I am thrilled to combine all of the aspects of the store that our customers have cherished for the past half-century with a much more modern, robust culinary experience. The new location will offer so much more to the community that's supported us since day one."
Notably, the new store will house an exclusive section dedicated to Domenico's Foods, DiBartolomeo's esteemed brand of fresh and imported Italian specialty foods. Domenico's Foods, which originally launched at The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills with homemade, sun-dried tomatoes, has grown to include a range of products such as fresh pastas, stuffed peppers, sauces, tapenades, and pestos. Customers visiting The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills will have the opportunity to purchase these offerings on-site, as well as witness Domenico’s culinary staff crafting handmade, fresh pastas and other favorites from the store’s captivating, on-display mezzanine section.
DiBartolomeo shared his vision for the expanded venture: "When I acquired The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills from Norbert Wabnig, my long-time mentor and the store's previous owner, my vision was to pay homage to everything he built over the years while also expanding the store's offerings and customer experience. This new location allows me to do just that, combining the best of the Cheese Store with the best of what the Domenico's brand offers to create a truly unrivaled marketplace that will amaze our current customers and attract new ones."
With the expansion, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills and Domenico's Foods will now ship nationwide, making their highly sought-after products accessible to food lovers across the country. In addition to its highly-curated selection of wines, the new location will feature a wide array of artisanal spirits, including tequilas, cognacs, aged whiskies, amaro, specialty liqueurs, and craft beers.
DiBartolomeo concluded, "It's a privilege for me to take The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills into the future as the premier destination in all of Los Angeles, known for offering the most extensive selection of gourmet cheeses, specialty products, high-quality ingredients, and unique imports from the world's most celebrated artisanal food producers. Now, with a much wider selection of premium offerings, in addition to our incredible menu of signature sandwiches, salads, and sides, we've got big things in store and much more on the horizon."
